Kings blank Tolleson

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

When the boys beat Tolleson 9-0 Kofa's girls tennis coach Danilo Montialli knew his girls were going to have a good day. And with a 9-0 victory of their own, they didn't disappoint.

Montialli commended top girl, Brenda Velarde for her excellent play wining 6-2, 6-1, and third seed Megan McKenna who blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0.

Montialli said the Kings (1-1) are a young squad, with four returners but are buying into his system of play. Kofa lost at Boulder Creek 8-0 last week, to start the season.
