Eleven Shamrocks and six Rams earn 2A West honors

Yuma Catholic quarterback Matt Inman has been named the 2A West Region Offensive Player of the Year.
Eleven other Shamrocks and six members of Antelope also earned 2A West honors.
For YC, Bobby Rodriguez made the second team as an offensive lineman and the first team as a linebacker. Ernie Samaniego was a first team wide receiver, while Rod Ford was a second team receiver and second team defensive back. Austin Rodriguez was a first team defensive back and second team running back. Josh Evans made the first team as an offensive lineman, as did Jared Peach at defensive end. Other Shamrocks on the second team were Trey Graham (DB), Ricardo Rocha (LB) and Elliot Cooley (DE). Junior Evans (K) and Nick Waterford (OL) were named honorable mention.
For Antelope, Chance Mixon made the first team as a defensive back, as well as Imar Hernandez at wide receiver and Jeremy Hovey at offensive lineman.
Aaron Skousen was a second team linebacker. Justin Hancock (C), Tyler Claar (WR) and Cody Pelfry (G) were honorable mention selections.
